Trouble Free Golf Vacation

Begin away from home, on vacation, playing some golf. Don't you wish that was the description of what you are doing right now? Tim McDonald has some tips for traveling, just in time for this holiday travel rush. One point he stresses is that traveling with your clubs via airplane is a big hassle, and a costly one at that. You know that your bags are heavy and oversized, but that doesn't keep them from being damaged during baggage handling. Who wants to arrive in sunny Florida on Christmas Eve ready to golf with his favorite set of...broken irons?? Also, opt out of taking any metal spiked golf shoes that you may have. Many golf courses prohibit them. If you want to golf while wearing your own shoes and playing with your own clubs, following some easy rules before takeoff can save you from a weekend headache. As the article mentions, using a packager is a great idea too. Many of us have arrived at the hotel or course only to find they have no record of our reservations. Let the pros handle the arrangements, I say.
